Two day break at the Otterburn Tower hotel where you can learn to shoot clay targets.
Arrive at the Otterburn Tower in time for lunch and to start your first lesson under experienced instruction at Otterburn Sporting Clays. Learn how to handle the gun, find the target and practise your new found skills. Back to the hotel to dinner. The chefs at the Otterburn Tower use only the finest of local produce - often from the owners farm. The dining room goes back to the 16th century with its oak panelling and stained glass windows. Your room will be unique as the Tower itself dates back to a cousin of William the Conqueror. Next day breakfast at your leisure before your next lesson begins. this morning will end with a clay target competition so you can see how much you have improoved your skills. Lunch at the Tower followed by an afternoon at leisure - and so to dinner.

Clay Target Shooting
takes place only 1/2 mile away and you can learn how to shoot clay targets even if you have never tried before. Full instruction is given as part of your £35.00 lesson - starting with instruction and ending with a competition over a 2 hour period.
Quad Bike Safari
based on a nearby hill farm you first learn how to operate a quad bike with a lesson and a trial run. then, when you are feeling confident, its off over the fells to see the wildlife and history of this outstanding area. Only £25.00 per hour per person.

Arrive at the hotel on Christmas Eve and enjoy the afternoon exploring the woodland walks and lake in the hotel grounds. Your three course dinner is served in the Oak Room Restaurant - panelled in 16th century oak - a restaurant with history and comfort. Dinner is prepared by our team of chefs led by John Calton. They use the best of local produce including beef and lamb from the owners farm.
Next morning breakfast will be served in our Castle Suite. Christmas Lunch will be all you imagined, seasonable vegetables, local turkey and all the trimmings with some great vegetarian options. After lunch we even have Santa visiting! Relax for the rest of the day with a family film, a game or a walk before our evening buffet. Breakfast on boxing day is followed by an optional walk around the 'Otterburn Trail' to see the history and wildlife of the area.
