A. Yes, the Bride and Groom can stay in a standard room on a complimentary basis, but upgrading to the Bridal Suite, with a bottle of champagne and strawberries, is a popular option and costs only £100.

Q. Do the guests receive any special rates for accommodation?
A. Yes, if all 18 bedrooms are taken, the guests will receive a 10% discount. Guests staying 4 nights or more, will receive a 25% discount even if the hotel is not fully booked.

Q. What time may guests check in?
A. Please check availability as we will endeavour to have your room ready as soon as possible. Checkout time is 11 a.m. every day.

Q. What time is breakfast served?
A. Breakfast is served from 7.30 a.m. until 9.30 a.m. Monday to Friday and from 8.00 a.m. until 10 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

Q. Where, in the Hotel, can we hold a civil ceremony?
A. We are licensed for civil ceremonies in two venues:- the Garden Room – by the beautiful French windows, leading to the lawns. The Oak Room – in the arch of the inglenook fireplace surrounded by rich 16th century oak panelling.

Q. Is confetti allowed in and around The Tower?
A. Yes, but only if it is biodegradable confetti.

Q. Have you good photographic opportunities?
A. Yes, we have extensive terraced lawns, which are perfect for group photos, magnificent beech trees which form the perfect backdrop for romantic photographs and The Otterburn Tower itself, for those perfect fairytale shots.

Q. May we offer a choice of menu to our guests?
A. A choice of menu may be offered for parties up to 40.

Q. Are fireworks permitted?
A. This depends on the time of the year as the hotel is adjacent to a stud farm with young animals in their paddocks and the horses may be frightened by the noise and bright lights.

Q. When is the final balance for the Wedding due?
A. The final balance is due 14 days prior to the Wedding taking place. An updated quotation will be sent to you 21 days prior.

Q. Are there any local activities we can do before/after the Wedding, or which could be attractive for our Stag and Hen parties?
A. Yes, we can provide contacts for clay target shooting, suitable for a novice or the most experienced shot. You can also try a Quad Bike safari at Woodlaw Farm; only 5 minutes drive away at Rochester. If you just want to relax, why not try a spot of fishing on our stretch of river? We can also offer a fly casting instructor if required . Golfers will love the course at Bellingham situated 10 minutes drive from The Otterburn Tower. Water sports, are available at Kielder Water - 20 minutes drive away and there you can walk to your hearts content.
