Clay Pigeon Shooting

Otterburn Sporting Clays - Situated next door to the hotel, has been set up to promote safe clay target shooting in and around the Rede Valley. This sport is enjoyed by persons of many age groups. It is indeed one of the few sports that both men and women can participate on an equal basis. Our instructor is a fully qualified firearms instructor who enjoys teaching all abilities from beginner to experienced shot.

Quad Bike Safari

Woolaw Farm - situated 5 miles north of the hotel, a well established family run business. Tuition is given on bike handling and driving before heading off across the rugged landscape. This is an exciting way to see our wonderful countryside, wildlife and to learn a little about the history of the area.

Golfing

Experience our fine local Northern golf courses at nearby Bellingham or Rothbury. Whether you are a professional, amateur, beginner or just play to relax, you will enjoy the change of scenery and the excellent golf available to you within an hour's drive of the hotel - many are a lot closer!

Shooting

We can arrange some of the best quality pheasant, grouse, partridge, duck, rough shooting and stalking. All arranged for you on our own Longwitton Estate.

Fishing

Enjoy some of the best Trout and Salmon fishing in England. We have our own 3 mile stretch of fishing on the River Rede as well as being close to Kielder Water and Sweethope Lough for still water fishing. We have an instructor who will teach you the skills of fly fishing here on the lawns of the hotel before going off to fish the River Rede.
