Terms and Conditions of Booking

• A provisional booking is normally held for fourteen days and requires your written confirmation and a non-returnable deposit of £500.00 to be secured.

• Any bedrooms provisionally booked should be confirmed 8 weeks prior to the wedding. A non-refundable deposit of £50.00 per room is required to confirm the booking.

• The person signing on behalf of the client must be authorised to do so - failing that he/she will be personally liable.

• An additional deposit of 50% of the contracted value is required three months prior to the function date. Full pre-payment is required fourteen days prior to the wedding date, along with final numbers. The final numbers will be used for charging purposes.

• A full and detailed invoice will be produced 21 days prior to the wedding and due for payment 14 days prior to the wedding. Any outstanding amount will be due for payment in full on the day of the wedding. We reserve the right to charge interest (at a daily rate of 2% above base rate) on the value of the outstanding invoice.

• Cheques should be made payable to the Otterburn Tower Hotel.

• The client agrees to pay the Otterburn Tower any charges incurred by their guests, unless prior to the wedding, we have received written instruction for us to seek cash settlements direct from the persons concerned.

• The management and staff cannot accept responsibility for any valuables or property that are lost or stolen during the event.

• The client must ensure that any equipment supplied by them and agreed by the hotel for use at the Otterburn Tower complies with all current legislation. The Otterburn Tower reserves the right to refuse connection of any equipment considered to be unsafe or hazardous.

• CANCELLATION:
  In the unfortunate circumstances that you have to cancel your confirmed booking, the hotel will make every effort to resell the facilities on your behalf. Any cancellation or partial cancellation must be confirmed in writing, as the facilities you have reserved cannot be released for resale until this has been received and acknowledged. In the event of the hotel being unsuccessful in reselling the space created by the cancellation or amended booking the following charges will be applicable:-

  We strongly recommend that you take out your own insurance policy, to cover the eventuality of cancellation.
