The answers to those most frequently asked questions:

Is a complimentary room provided for the Bride and Groom?
Yes, the bride and groom can stay in a standard room on a complimentary basis, alternatively the bride and groom could upgrade to the Bridal Suite, for £100.00 - this includes a bottle of Champagne with Smoked Salmon or Strawberries.

Do the guests receive any special rates for accommodation?
Yes, if all 18 bedrooms are taken, the guests will receive a 10% discount per night from the tariff rate. Guests staying 4 nights or more, will receive a 25% discount per night from the tariff rate. Why not stay over the night before the wedding at the same discounted rate,? You could dine in our restaurant with a few close friends and family.

When are the accommodation deposits due?
Deposits for all rooms are due four (4) months prior to the Wedding. A £50.00 deposit per room is required.

What time may guests check in?
Your guests may arrive as early as 1.00 p.m., but we cannot give any assurance that the rooms will be serviced. Your guests may change in the rooms and we will complete the servicing whilst they attend the wedding. Checkout time is 10 am, Monday - Friday, 11 am Saturday - Sunday.

What time is breakfast served?
Breakfast is served from 7.30 a.m. until 9.30 p.m. Monday to Friday and from 8.00 a.m. until 10 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

Do you have sufficient car parking?
Yes, we have ample free car parking available for yourself and your guests.

Do you offer a Red Carpet Greeting?
Yes, we offer a red carpet at the main entrance, to greet you and your guests.

Where, in the hotel, can we hold a civil ceremony?
We are licensed for civil ceremonies in three different venues:-
  • The Garden room – by the beautiful sunlit french windows, leading to the lawns.
  • The Drawing room – by the marble fireplace
  • The Oak room. – in the arch of the inglenook fireplace surrounded by rich oak panelling.

What is the Earliest and Latest time of day a Civil Ceremony may be held?
The earliest we can hold a civil ceremony is 11am, the latest would be 4.30pm.

What is the maximum number of guests for a Civil Ceremony?
The maximum number of guests for a Civil Ceremony in the Oak Room is 70,the Garden Room is 120, the Drawing Room is 60.

What is the minimum number of guests for a Civil Ceremony?
We have no minimum number of guests for a civil ceremony, only the bride and groom are required, we can provide witnesses if required.

Is Confetti allowed in and around the Tower?
Yes, but only if it is biodegradable confetti.

Is there large scope for photographic opportunities?
Yes, we have extensive terraced lawns, which are perfect for those group photos, we also have a number of old magnificent beech trees, which can form the perfect backdrop for some of those more romantic photographs, and of course there is the Tower itself, for those perfect fairytale shots. There is also plenty scope for photos indoors if required.

Can you provide us with contacts for photographers, entertainers etc…?
Yes, if you contact our wedding co-ordinator, she will be more than happy to provide you with this.

Do you offer a Master of Ceremonies?
Yes, we are more than happy to provide you with a master of ceremonies, there would be no charge for this service.

What is the maximum number of guests for a Reception?
The maximum number of guests for a reception in the Garden room is 70, the Oak room is 35, the Marquee is 160. If you intend to have more guests than 160, we can add on an extension to the marquee, to allow up to 250 guests in total.

What is the latest time we could have a Wedding Breakfast?
You would sit down at 7.00 pm, if there is to be no evening party.

May we offer a choice of menu to our guests?
A choice of menu may only be offered for parties of less than 26 guests.
