While you are at the Otterburn Tower you can relax or be as active as you like!

WALKING

The countryside is all around us and there are many, many walks. The Pennine Way cuts through this beautiful unspoilt are of Wild Redesdale. The national park have recently opened a new walk linking the Otterburn Tower with a beautiful walk which is ideal for those wanting an hours walk rather than a fell hike! John Monks at Shepherds Walks has studied the area and his walks can be purchased at our reception. The Wild Life Trust has their biggest nature reserve just up the road at Carter Bar.

GOLFING

Only four miles away there is the award winning rural golf course at Bellingham. Within a 30-mile radius we have many golf courses on the coast and in the country.

RACING

Ideal as a central base for racing at Kelso, Hexham and Newcastle - check out our racing brochure to make the most of a racing retreat!

FISHING

We have our own stretch of the little fished River Rede - we even have our own fly fishing instructor -There is also still water fishing at nearby Kielder and Caistron.
